Registration Specialist
Position Overview
The Registration Specialist is responsible for incoming and outbound vehicles and keeping inventory accurate. The Registration Specialist will report to the Operations Manager. This position will register cars and photo them as they are dropped off and ensuring that they are parked in the correct spot. The Registration Specialist will move inventory as vehicle sells and be responsible for exiting the vehicles.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Registration
Use a handheld computer to input detailed vehicle information (e.g., VIN, mileage, dealer ID, vehicle options, repair orders).
Verify the VIN on the vehicle matches the VIN on the pickup slip.
Generate and apply Stock-In stickers and Auction Sale Stickers (Vehicle Run Numbers) to the vehicles.
Reassign run sticks for unsold vehicles from previous auctions and update information in CRSimplified.
2. Inventory Management
Locate, number, and place vehicles on assigned spots throughout the yard and for sale day.
Ensure cars are parked in order for sale day.
Perform physical verification of year, miles, and VIN number of each vehicle before the sale.
Help with a physical inventory on a periodic basis.
Ensure vehicles are being exited.
Track missing units and assist transporters in locating vehicles.
Work with Sales’ Staff to ensure sold vehicles are pulled for Condition Reports
3. Safety
Monitor working conditions to ensure they do not pose a safety risk to employees or customers.
Follow proper procedures for reporting accidents, injuries, or damage to property.
Maintain all equipment (including handheld devices and printers) in good working order and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs to the manager or supervisor.
